We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for the High Voltage (HV) Substation business. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality design and execution of substation projects from concept through commissioning. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, interface with customers and key stakeholders, support business development, and drive innovation and continuous improvement.

How You'll Make An Impact

Lead the design and engineering of HV substations rated 110 kV and above, covering primary, secondary, protection, control, SCADA, and automation systems.
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with IEC, IEEE, national grid standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Review and approve technical drawings, single-line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and general arrangement layouts.
Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, protection, procurement, construction, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
Manage, mentor, and develop the engineering team, including performance management, skills development, and resource allocation.
Align engineering schedules and deliverables with overall project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
Implement quality assurance and control processes for engineering outputs.
Support tender and bid activities by reviewing specifications, developing technical proposals, and estimating engineering hours.
Act as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
Drive value engineering, innovation, and continuous-improvement initiatives to optimize cost, performance, and competitiveness.

What You Bring

Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering; specialization in power systems is preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in power transmission or distribution projects.
Proven experience leading engineering teams within EPC, utility, or major infrastructure projects.
Strong expertise in primary and secondary design for HV substations, including AIS and GIS technologies.
Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, SCADA, and substation automation.
Working knowledge of relevant engineering software, such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, AutoCAD, or EPLAN.
Demonstrated leadership and people-management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Fluent English and excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
Strategic and commercially aware, with a hands-on approach and a continuous-improvement mindset.
