Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Business Development (Pipeline Development & Growth)

About the Role

Ditrolic Energy is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development professional to support the expansion of our renewable energy business across Malaysia.

This role is responsible for building and managing a strong sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting the Business Development team in achieving growth targets.

The successful candidate will possess strong networking skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to proactively identify and develop opportunities within the renewable energy sector.

Job Purpose

To support Ditrolic's business growth by:

• Building and maintaining a qualified sales pipeline.

• Identifying and engaging prospective customers.

• Supporting customer acquisition activities.

• Developing strategic business relationships.

• Providing market insights to facilitate commercial decision-making.

• Supporting the growth of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), CRESS, SELCO and other emerging energy solutions.

This role contributes directly to revenue generation through pipeline development and opportunity conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Development & Lead Generation

• Generate and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.

• Identify and engage prospective customers through networking, industry events, referrals and digital platforms.

• Monitor opportunity progress and ensure CRM records remain updated and accurate.

• Support Business Development Managers in customer acquisition activities.

• Track lead conversion performance and provide regular pipeline updates.

Customer & Partner Engagement

• Establish and maintain relationships with:

• Industrial customers

• Commercial customers

• Data centre operators

• Consultants

• EPC contractors

• Technology partners

• Industry associations

• Arrange and participate in customer meetings, industry events and networking sessions.

• Support partnership development initiatives that create new business opportunities.

Market & Commercial Support

• Monitor renewable energy market developments and emerging customer opportunities.

• Preparation of proposals, presentations and commercial submissions.

• Assist in identifying target industries and customer segments.

• Maintain databases of key customers, partners and prospects.

CRM & Reporting

• Ensure CRM system is continuously updated with quality leads and opportunities.

• Maintain pipeline reports and dashboards.

• Track opportunity status, conversion rates and business development activities.

• Prepare monthly reports and recommendations for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Economics or related disciplines.

• Minimum 2years of experience in:

• Business Development

• Pipeline Development

• Lead Generation

• Customer Acquisition

• Sales or Commercial Roles

Preferred

• Experience in:

• Renewable Energy

• Solar PV Or BESS
