We are looking for passionate and patient 2D Animation & Digital Art trainer to guide our neurodiverse learners (high-functioning special needs students) in building strong artistic fundamentals and 2D animation skills.
Job Description:
- Conduct engaging lessons in the following areas: Drawing Fundamentals (shape, form, perspective, anatomy), Character Design & Body Proportions, Background & Environment Studies, Color Theory, Lighting & Visual Storytelling, Introduction to 2D Animation Principles
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Support students in building their portfolios and projects.
- Work closely with the academy team to ensure lessons align with our inclusive and skill-based learning goals.
- Assist in the academy's in-house creative studio by guiding students in developing and producing their own projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Illustration, Multimedia, or any related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong foundation in drawing fundamentals, anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition.
- Proficient in digital art and 2D animation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Toon Boom Harmony, or equivalent software.
- Solid understanding of 2D animation principles (timing, spacing, squash & stretch, motion).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Have patience and empathy when teaching special needs students.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or working with neurodiverse or special needs learners.
- Experience in other animation-related areas (e.g., stop-motion, voice acting, video editing)
