Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design / Interior Architecture / Architecture
Registered Interior Design with LAM (IDr.)
10 years minimum of working experience in Interior Design industries
Minimum Competencies
Applicants can be from the category of compulsory retirees based on IIUM compulsory retirement age from IIUM, other higher learning institutions; or distinguished figures from the industries, civil service or professionals.
Malaysian and International applicants are welcome to apply.
A blend of academic qualifications, teaching abilities, research skills, and personal attributes.
Prior experience in teaching and research in the higher education sector is an added advantage.
Other Requirements
A strong foundation and knowledge in Interior Design / Interior Architecture.
Proficiency or specialization in any of the following areas:
Interior Design Professional Practice
Building materials and finishes
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
A strong track record of published research and participation in the academic community is highly desirable.
Language Qualifications
For Malaysian citizens: Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidates without any of these qualifications will be required to take the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
