Account Executive
AEM|Greater Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Full-Time, On-Site
About AEM
AEM is an independent creative agency helping B2B brands across Asia-Pacific do more meaningful, effective marketing. With offices in Singapore and Malaysia, we work across branding, digital, advertising, design, and production to create work that drives real business results.
We partner with some of the region's most respected brands, combining strategic thinking with strong creative execution to deliver campaigns that connect, perform, and matter.
The Role
We're looking for a proactive, organised, and client-focused Account Executive to join our growing Kuala Lumpur team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, keeping projects on track, and working closely with internal teams to deliver great work. You'll play a key day-to-day role in managing briefs, timelines, expectations, and campaign delivery from start to finish.
If you're excited by the opportunity to work in a more entrepreneurial, less corporate environment where ideas move quickly, and your contribution has real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of B2B clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships built on trust and results.
- Understand client objectives, challenges, and KPIs to provide proactive, solutions-driven counsel.
- Manage client expectations and ensure consistent, high-quality communication throughout all projects.
Campaign & Project Management
- Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social channels.
- Brief internal creative and production teams clearly and effectively, ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and proactively escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, copywriters, and digital specialists to deliver outstanding work on time.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling relevant agency services.
- Support new business pitches and proposals alongside senior leadership.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments relevant to client sectors.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and present campaign reports, performance updates, and post-campaign analyses for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, briefs, approvals, and project documentation.
- Support the preparation of proposals, timelines, and budgets for client presentations.
QualificationsRequired
- 24 years of account management or client servicing experience, ideally within a marketing or creative agency.
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A client-first mindset with a natural ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with B2B technology or enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Slack, Monday.com, or similar).
- Exposure to digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Business Suite).
- Basic understanding of design principles and production workflows.
What We Offer
- A dynamic and collaborative agency environment where ideas are valued.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth, training, and career progression.
- Exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and industries across the Asia-Pacific.
- A supportive team culture that encourages innovation and initiative.
