Account Executive

We are looking for a knowledgeable, organised and self-motivated Senior Accounts Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts for multiple entities.

This position is suitable for an experienced accounting professional who has a strong understanding of accounting structures, procedures and full-set accounting functions.

In this position, you will need to:

• Handle the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial schedules and other financial reports/analysis
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Prepare and send Statements of Account (SOA) to customers monthly
• Monitor receivables, follow up on outstanding balances and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payment requests and payment transactions.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and record additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Support audit, tax, and regulatory compliance activities by preparing required schedules and documentation.Liaise with tax agents, company secretaries, auditors, banks, suppliers and other external parties when required.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures, internal controls and reporting processes.
• Perform ad hoc accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Desired skills and requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification or partial qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent, would be an advantage.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounts executive or similar position.
• Proven experience handling a full set of accounts independently.
• Experience coordinating and supporting external audits
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and month-end closing procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reconciliations and financial data analysis.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
