Job Title:Account Manager

Location:Johor

Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is seeking an experienced Account Manager with at least 8 years in the water treatment industry, particularly in cooling water treatment, to join our Global High Tech division focused on the Data Center industry. You'll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts.Using a consultative sales approach, you'll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs.With strong account leadership, you'll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support a fast-evolving industry by delivering tailored cooling treatment solutions that ensure data center uptime, asset assurance, peace of mind, and help achieve sustainability targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key accounts within the Global High Tech division, focusing on the Data Center industry in Thailand and the broader region, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to increase revenue and deepen relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Generate and execute targeted sales plans across new and current customer bases, allocating approximately 50% of time to direct sales activities to meet profit goals.
  • Understand customer business needs thoroughly and recommend customized, innovative cooling water treatment solutions aligned with their operational performance and sustainability objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant and facility executives, to enhance collaboration and trust.
  • Provide expert technical support, proactively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving customer challenges, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Conduct in-depth system analysis and data interpretation to deliver clear, actionable recommendations that optimize customer operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with Corporate Account Managers, Industrial Technical Consultants, Sales & Service teams, and Engineering to ensure seamless delivery of service and technical support.
  • Utilize digital platforms for service report generation, water quality data analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Actively promote and sell Nalco Water innovations and technologies, leading improvement initiatives that demonstrate total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and operational value.
  • Demonstrate agility with fast-paced responsiveness, strong initiative, and accountability in addressing customer and business needs.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication with internal multifunctional teams and external customers.
  • Leverage language skills, including proficiency in spoken and written Chinese, to support multinational clients and enhance communication effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical sales knowledge with strong expertise in cooling water treatment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex accounts, preferably supporting data centers or high-tech customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to use digital tools for service reporting, water quality analysis, and driving continuous improvement
  • Possess a valid class 3 Driver's License
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team player mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese (spoken and written) is highly advantageous
  • Proactive, with a beginner's mindset for learning agility, prioritizing simplicity, and process improvement
