The Account Manager serves as the operational engine and daily face of the account management team within the creative agency. Positioned at the intersection of client ambition, creative craft, and financial discipline, the SAE is responsible for steering complex, multi-channel creative campaigns from brief through to final production.
This role requires a unique balance of creative intuition and rigorous project management, ensuring that work is delivered accurately, on strategy, on budget, and on time.
Job Responsibilities:
Client Relationship & Strategy Management
- Day-to-Day Client Leadership: Serve as the primary, operational contact for day-to-day clients, managing expectations, status updates, and job progress.
- The Brief Master: Deeply understand client business objectives and translate them into sharp, inspiring creative and brief documents that give creative teams clear direction.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure all creative outputs match the client's brand guidelines, business objectives, and the agreed-upon campaign strategy before presentation.
- Feedback Integration: Masterfully manage the feedback loop-synthesizing client critiques into constructive, actionable direction for the creative and production teams.
Campaign Ownership & Creative Execution
- End-to-End Delivery: End-to-End Delivery: Drive the workflow of integrated creative campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social, video production, and event.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central connector between Creative, Strategy/Planning, Social, and Production teams to maintain momentum and creative integrity.
- Quality Control: Review all copy, layouts, and production proofs with a meticulous eye to ensure zero errors in text, formatting, or design before final delivery.
- Timeline Discipline: Own and manage master project timelines, setting critical paths and ensuring internal milestones are met without sacrificing the quality of the creative work.
Financial Oversight & Commercial Discipline
- Scope Management: Protect agency margins by adhering to the agreed project scope. Identify scope creep early and confidently flag out-of-scope requests to be billed as separate variations.
- Financial Tracking: Maintain daily accuracy of project billing trackers, ensuring timely invoicing, accurate fee documentation, and swift resolution of billing shortfalls.
- Cost Control & Vendor Liaison: Work closely with internal finance and external third-party production houses/vendors to negotiate costs and manage project budgets effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Advertising, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure while effectively managing timelines, deliverables, and production schedules.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and execute impactful communication strategies based on consumer insights and market observations.
- Excellent understanding of account servicing and project management processes, including timelines, budgets, and client coordination.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advertising tools and marketing collateral such as fact sheets, brochures, catalogues, direct mail, and email campaigns used in communication development and execution.
- Skilled in evaluating communication effectiveness and optimizing campaigns for better audience engagement and results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities to effectively educate and engage audiences.
