Account Manager - Personal Care Division

Description

The purpose of the Account Manager is to sell IXOM offerings and solutions to current and prospective customers. The role is accountable for achieving volume, revenue, and margin growth targets within a defined territory by growing IXOM share within existing customers through the sale of product and service offerings, and by acquiring new customers by providing consultative solutions.

The role is expected to provide a mix of strategic and tactical solutions in a business-to-business selling environment. The role focuses on acquiring, penetrating, developing new customers and retaining existing customers. Being sales and performance driven with dedication to achieving team goals will be critical to success of our overall business. The role is accountable for successfully growing the sales and profits for one of the Chemicals business Personal Care focused territories.

**This position will be based out in Selangor and expected to travel once a month to cover Northern/ Southern Malaysia.

Position Responsibilities:

Territory Planning: Understands territory situation, current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers.

Account Planning & Customer Knowledge: Understands customer objectives, needs, and profitability drivers.

Ownership & Performance Focus: Takes responsibility for and ownership of territory.

Market Knowledge: Keeps up-to-date and informed on personal care market, industry, and regulatory issues.

Technical Knowledge: Identifies technical needs of customers and internal trainings will be provided

Value Proposition: Understands and sells entire value offering from IXOM

Communication: Presents to customers with awareness of customer context.

Negotiations & Solution Agreement: Has sound judgment and problems solving skills to create win-win solutions.

Implementation Management: Reacts to additional customer demands and needs.

Sales Administration: Has command of MS Office.

Pipeline Management: Manages pipeline proactively, recognizing customers stage in the decision cycle.

Qualifications

Preferably 1 2 years of experience in Personal care sales.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Diploma/Bachelor's degree is required; Cosmetics Science, Applied Chemistry or related science discipline preferred.
Ability to travel within region 30%-50% with potential for travelling outstation is an advantage
Experience in negotiating and securing business contracts required
A familiarity with the customer base and knowledgeable about the requirements of the target industry required
Technical Sales experience in the Personal Care / Cosmetic ingredients market space: Hair Care, Sun Care, Skin Care, and Color Cosmetics will be an advantage.
Familiar with project driven applications and qualification in the following Personal Care Ingredient categories: Surfactants, Preservatives, Vitamins, Silicones, Emulsifiers, Emollients, and Rheology Modifiers.
Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
