Job Description

Job Description:

  1. Oversee the full set of accounts (AP, AR, General Ledger, Fixed Assets)
  2. Manage month-end and year-end closing, including management accounts and financial reports
  3. Handle project accounting, including cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, WIP, progress claims, and variation orders
  4. Monitor company cash flow, cash forecasting, and overall financial health
  5. Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax, and SST regulations
  6. Coordinate audits and manage tax submissions in liaison with external auditors and tax agents
  7. Establish, review, and improve internal controls, SOPs, and accounting processes
  8. Supervise, guide, and review the work of the accounts team
  9. Support management in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives
  10. Prepare financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions

Requirements

  1. Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting/finance experience in construction field.
  2. At least 5 years in managerial role
  3. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Technical Skills

  1. Strong hands-on experience in full set of accounts Solid understanding of MFRS, tax, and SST
  2. Experience managing audits, year-end closing, and statutory reporting
  3. Good knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and cash flow management
  4. Proficient in accounting systems (Autocount) and MS Excel Qualifications
