Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, payroll, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analysis.
• Manage tax computation, SST/GST submissions, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to support management in decision-making.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Handle day-to-day finance operations and ad-hoc assignments as required.
• Use SQL accounting software for daily accounting tasks, data entry, reporting, and system reconciliation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree / Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably handling full set of accounts.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Proficient in SQL Accounting Software, MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail-oriented, independent, and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
