Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant at GB Capital, located in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities include processing payroll, managing budgets, reconciling accounts, preparing tax returns, and assisting with audits. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments to ensure financial accuracy and maximize the organization's efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, balance sheet preparation, and budgeting
• Experience with tax compliance, reconciliation processes, and financial audits
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience in smart city or technology-focused industries is an advantage
