Your Role And Responsibilities
- Provide accounting support to countries in the Asia Pacific region
- Prepare local financial statements in accordance with local GAAP
- Comply with the country's legal and statutory reporting requirements
- Provide advice and counsel to management on US and country Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and guidelines
- Perform self-inspection of work areas and implement measures to ensure compliance with IBM accounting and country practices and guidelines.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation and journal booking for accurate bookkeeping
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Accounting/Banking/ Commerce Accounting, Business Studies/ Administration/Management (Major in Finance or Accounting will be added advantages)
- A strong academic background with either First Class Honours or a robust Second Class Upper Honours degree (Minimum CGPA 3.0).
- Proficient in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Quick learner with the capability to absorb professional knowledge rapidly.
- Proficiency in IT skills relevant to job requirements.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
