Job Description

Record financial transactions in the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports. Analyze variances between actual results and budgets, explaining

significant differences. Ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation. Collaborate with other accounting and finance team members and suggest process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recording financial transactions in the general ledger, including journal entries, adjustments and accruals.
  • Assist in performing monthly, quarterly, yearly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Asset Management
  • Support the analysis of variances between actual financial results and budgets/forecasts and explain material differences.
  • Maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits, preparing required documentation and explanations.
  • Work closely with other members of the accounting and finance team, such as accounting, accounts payable and tax specialists, to ensure comprehensive financial management.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and systems to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the general ledger function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable specialised training
  • 1-5 years of professional experience / industry experience
  • Very good command of written and spoken English (position dependent)
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Note: Extensive relevant experience and proven expertise may substitute for the required degree.
