Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Accountant to join our team on-site in Petaling Jaya. The Accountant will be responsible for managing across full-spectrum accounting, cashflow management, statutory compliance, and finance transformation initiatives with the objective to ensure smooth operation and timely closure of account, and submission of financial related reports and data to all interest parties both internally and externally.
Key responsibility:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts with variance analysis
- Manage day to day operations of overall accounting and finance activities
- Update bank reconciliation matched with bank statement accordingly
- Update and monitor Fixed Assets Listing
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing in accordance with internal and local regulatory timeline
Cashflow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor daily cashflow and support cashflow review and payment planning.
- Manage AP/AR processes, monitor ageing, and follow up on collections
- Support utilisation and monitoring of banking facilities and financing arrangements
Compliance, Audit & Tax
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and banks on statutory and compliance matters
- Handle company tax, withholding tax, e-invoicing and tax audit submissions
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation and internal controls to comply with financial audit and tax audit requirement
Sales Incentive Claims & Administration
- Verifies sales incentive which include incentive computation
- Review and process employee claims, petty cash, and ensure adherence to finance and HR policies, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of supporting documents, and verify that proper approvals are obtained in accordance with company policies.
Finance Transformation
- Support finance automation initiatives, including system enhancements and workflow improvements
- Drive process improvements and standardisation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time
Act as a key finance partner to internal stakeholders across business units, participate in ad-hoc finance projects and transformation initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accountancy/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g ACCA, CPA,MIA)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, with complete knowledge of financial reporting under MPERS
- Strong knowledge of MPERS and Malaysia Tax regulations
- Technical skill (Strong Microsoft Excel skills and Familiar with Malaysia e-invoicing framework and Mytax Portal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g. Autocount) will be an added advantage
- Language proficiency in English and Malay
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate maturity, problem solver ,responsibility, meticulous attention to detail and strong multitasking skills
