Accountant

Responsibilities

• Monitoring monthly, quarterly and yearly closing.
• Responsible to oversee all accounting transactions are done accurately and timely.
• Review reconciliations, adjustments/actions must be taken on a timely manner.
• Support Sales for revenue and cost recognition.
• Preparing consolidated financial statements for Bursa announcement, on quarterly basis.
• Preparing yearly financial statements fully comply with respective laws and regulations, for audit purposes.
• Review Annual Report to ensure errors free.
• Have in depth knowledge of IFRS/MFRS.
• Be able to implement new requirements and advise on complex accounting entries.
• Be able to deal with auditors effectively and independently.
• Capable of making decision on accounting roles.
• Preparing ad hoc reports in various formats as and when required.
• Ensuring internal controls are effective.
• Taxes, such as corporation tax, SST, WHT and to have some knowledge on regional business and tax requirements.
• Preparing tax computation for tax agent's reviews.
• Submission of reports to Bursa, SC and MDEC on a timely manner.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• ACCA and MIA certified.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• SAP experience in FI/CO, and understand the requirement on integrated modules.
• Financial knowledge and interest rate calculations.
• Understand the basic audit requirements and international auditing standard.
• Have broad knowledge in Company Acts, Bursa and SC requirements.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
