The company is involved in structuring, financing, and managing complex infrastructure initiatives across multiple sectors.

We are building out Finance (Offshore) function in Malaysia, supporting finance operations activities of our Head Office in Saudi Arabia. We're looking for a hands-on Accountant to join our growing Shared Services team in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Lead Accountant (Offshore).

This is a great opportunity to be part of a Shared-Service environment from the ground up.

Role Description

The Accountant (Offshore) role at Tamasuk is a full-time, on-site position located in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial reports and reconciliations. The accountant will support accounts payable and receivable processes, monitor bank transactions, assist with month-end and year-end closing, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls. The role involves coordinating with finance teams in Saudi Arabia, responding to audit requests, and providing accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making. The accountant is expected to maintain organized financial records, identify discrepancies, and participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

What You Will Do

  • Process recurring accounting activities — bank reconciliations, AP/AR, GL maintenance, accruals, prepayments, FX revaluation and intercompany postings.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules for review
  • Support month-end close.
  • Prepare draft management account schedules and variance explanations.
  • Support treasury activities including cash-position updates and forecasting inputs.
  • Compile audit support documentation.
  • Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions as processes transition from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong hands-on exposure to full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end close.
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS.
  • ACCA, CPA Malaysia or equivalent (in progress or completed) is a plus.
  • Shared Service Center (SSC), multinational finance, or Big 4 audit firm background preferred.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience highly preferred (or comparable ERP).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable working with Saudi Arabia-based stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-evolving environment

Working Hours

  • Sunday–Thursday: from 2:00 PM–10:00 PM Malaysia time (in alignment with KSA business hours)
