In this role, you are responsible for providing support to Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager in coordination and preparation of group consolidation reports with analysis (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and providing the necessary assistance in other related Finance functions such as analyst briefing, budgeting, audit, and other ad-hoc matters.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly group executive summary and performance analysis, particularly sub-group of Property Segment, and any other segments as and when required.
- Supporting the preparation of Quarterly presentation slides to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors as well as other relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting the preparation of reporting notes to Condensed Group Financial Statements quarterly as well as Group Financial Statements annually, specifically on capital commitment, right-of-use and lease obligation, trade receivables, trade payables, and inventories.
- Supporting annual Group Budgeting, specifically on the sub-group of the Property Segment and liaising with Property and other key business segments finance teams (good interpersonal skills).
- Handle and perform various ad-hoc duties such as finance digitalization and transformation project(s) as assigned by the management.
Education & Qualification
- Member of one of the professional accounting bodies (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA/MIA).
- Degree in Accounting and Finance and/or completed one of the Professional courses.
Relevant Experience & Years of Service
- 5 Years in Group Accountant roles of a listed company in Malaysia/conglomerate with diversified portfolios.
- Preferably 2 to 3 years of audit experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
- Experience in Group consolidation, budgeting, and preparation of annual financial statements.
- Knowledge of how Finance processes are enabled within a finance systems landscape.
Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge
- Solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience. (Well-versed in financial reporting standards, Bursa Securities Listing Requirements).
- Strong financial analytical skills, excel abilities, PowerPoint presentation skills, and any other accounting software application (Sage, Controller, SAP, etc.).
- Background in chartered accountant. Added advantage with skills of corporate finance-related exposure. i.e. perform due diligence, evaluate investment opportunities, involved in assisting senior management in finance planning and strategy.
