About the role

Role purpose:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial & accounting activities .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Financial Controller, participating in staff meetings and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Responsible for general accounting and SG&A related tasks (journals, balance sheet and working capital analysis, staff costs and etc)
  • Manage Treasury functions (bank transactions, forex hedging and etc.)
  • Assist the Financial Controller in Tax Compliance matters (VAT, Withholding Tax, CIT and e-Invoicing)
  • Assist the Financial Controller in Audit Compliance matters (IFRS, external and internal audit)
  • Prepare Financial Statements and year-end audit schedules.
  • Enhance accounting policies and procedures to improve general ledger operations, internal controls, and IFRS compliance.
  • Manage fixed asset control and reconciliation.
  • Mentor and coach the financial analysts
  • Coordinate and support special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Key Challenges:

  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial matters.
  • Multi-task and prioritise work in a fast-pace organisation

Critical Skills & Experience:

Qualifications and Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Professional Degree in Accounting or Finance Field (CPA or CMA) is an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting in an MNC environment.
  • Those with relevant experience in the Dairy or food industry will have a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide insights

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • Good analytical skills to identify discrepancies and mismatch
  • High integrity and ethical standards
  • Attention to detail with a quality mindset
  • Resilient and adaptable with positive hands-on attitude in changing regulatory environments
  • Calm, structured, and dependable under deadlines
