Our client is a well-established and fast-growing manufacturing organisation based in Bangsar. With operations across Malaysia and regional markets, they are strengthening their finance leadership team and are now seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function.
Description
Your main job duties will include:
- Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Oversee full sets of accounts, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, and ensure strong internal controls.
- Manage costing, inventory accounting, and support manufacturing-related analyses.
- Handle audits, taxation matters, and ensure statutory compliance.
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and provide financial insights to management.
- Improve accounting processes, support ERP/digitalisation initiatives, and drive best practices.
Profile
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a must.
- Mandatory: Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience, including team leadership.
- Big 4 audit background (current or former) is highly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, costing, and inventory accounting is a strong advantage.
- Solid technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
