Job Description
- Managed the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
- Prepared and reviewed statutory and management reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Performed general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Oversaw bank, credit card, intercompany, and inventory reconciliations while strengthening financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Managed accounts payable activities and monitored cash flow to optimise liquidity and support operational requirements.
- Led fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, capitalisation, and depreciation calculations.
- Coordinated external audits and acted as the key liaison for auditors, ensuring smooth completion of audit engagements.
- Ensured accurate and timely corporate tax, VAT/SST filings, declarations, and year-end tax computations in accordance with legal requirements.
- Developed cash flow forecasts and implemented initiatives to improve working capital and enhance liquidity management.
- Managed and provided functional leadership to both local Accounting teams and the Shared Services Centre (SSC)
The Successful Applicant
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Prefer candidates with retail industry experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
What's on Offer
- Monthly salary between MYR 15000 and MYR 19000.
- 13 month's salary included.
