Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee endtoend Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities for the assigned organization. You are expected to operate proactively, with strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fastpaced environment, especially in areas involving project coordination and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The ideal candidate is assertive in problemsolving, committed to meeting deadlines, and highly capable of collaborating across functions and regions. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and relevant external regulatory requirements.

This role is contributing to the Country Finance in Malaysia. Main stakeholders are Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO) Hub and business stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Operational Responsibility:
  • Managing all activities related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in close coordination with the Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO) Hub and business stakeholders.
  • Serving as the primary contact for local processes related to O2C and P2P including end to end e-invoicing. Identifying bottlenecks in invoice processing and payment workflows that hinder execution, propose AI-powered solutions. Addresses barriers to execution by identifying root causes of process delays and collaborating with teams to implement solutions, ensuring faster issues resolution and decision-making.
  • Supporting and executing tasks under the internal controls framework (SOX compliance).
  • Ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end activities relating to O2C and P2P areas.
  • Project Responsibilities and Continuous Improvements:
  • Coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, process changes, or global initiatives.
  • Collaborating with global and local finance teams to drive project deliverables, ensuring objectives and timelines are met.
  • Identifying process gaps and propose continuous improvements to strengthen operational efficiently and internal controls.
  • Managing documentations, test scripts, issue logs and follow-ups for project and UAT cycles.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, specifically within P2P and O2C processes.

  • Hands-on experience in project coordination, UAT execution, or system deployment is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve process execution issues and operational barriers.
  • Proficient in SAP FICO and Microsoft office applications, with strong Excel/data analysis capability. Working knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and R2R processes is an added advantage.
  • Highly meticulous, accurate, and detail-oriented, with strong sense of urgency and a proactive work attitude, while remaining independent, resourceful and capable of managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Possesses and innovation mindset with curiosity for new technologies and commitment to continuous learning. Comfortable navigating digital tools and open to adopting new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments.
