We're Hiring: Accounts & Admin Executive!

About the Company:

A boutique legal practice based in Kuala Lumpur, providing practical and business-focused legal services to a diverse range of corporate and individual clients. The firm operates within a small, collaborative team environment and is known for its hands-on approach, professionalism and client-centric service delivery.

Role Summary:

This role is primarily responsible for managing the firm's full spectrum of accounting functions while overseeing general office operations to ensure smooth daily workflow. The position suits a hands-on accounting professional who is comfortable working independently within a small team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle full range of accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial records and internal reporting
  • Manage SST matters, banking transactions and payment processing
  • Liaise and coordinate with external tax agents, auditors and bankers on accounting, tax and audit matters
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure accurate processing
  • Maintain proper documentation and internal financial records using Excel and accounting systems (e.g. AutoCount)
  • Support AML/CFT documentation and compliance processes (basic knowledge acceptable)
  • Monitor and oversee general office administrative operations to ensure smooth daily workflow
  • Ensure accurate filing, record management and compliance with internal procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting roles; exposure to SME, professional services or legal firm environment is an advantage
  • Familiar with bookkeeping, SST processes, payroll and audit coordination
  • Basic knowledge or exposure to AML/CFT documentation is preferred
  • LCCI / Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and accounting software (e.g. AutoCount)
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu; Chinese speaker is highly preferred
  • Proactive, responsible and willing to learn
  • Able to work independently in a small team environment
