MetaComp Pte Ltd is a leading Singapore-based digital payment solution provider, licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, to provide Digital Payment Token Services and Cross-border Payment Transfers. Operating under a P2B2C (platform-to-business, partners-to-clients) model, MetaComp provides its clients with an integrated end-to-end suite of services, empowering them to confidently enter the digital asset market with much-needed safety, security, and compliance assurance. Together with its parent company, Metaverse Green Exchange Pte. Ltd. (a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounts Executive (Full Set Accounts) to manage the company's end-to-end accounting functions for our Malaysia entity. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly financial reports, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, and working closely with regional finance teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced fintech environment and is comfortable handling multiple finance responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

  • Handle full set of accounts including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Journal Entries
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Prepare accruals, prepayments and depreciation schedules.

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims.
  • Verify invoices against supporting documentation.
  • Prepare payment proposals and bank payment files.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor master records.

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate customer invoices.
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Perform customer account reconciliations.
  • Support credit control activities.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash balances and liquidity.
  • Assist with payment processing and fund transfers.
  • Support treasury reporting and cash flow forecasting.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare management reports and financial analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting exercises.
  • Support regional finance reporting requirements.

Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and assist with:
  • SST submissions (where applicable)
  • Withholding tax
  • Corporate tax schedules
  • Annual audit schedules
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting and tax regulations.

Internal Controls

  • Maintain proper accounting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies and internal controls.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Support finance automation initiatives.

Cross-functional Support

  • Work closely with Operations, Compliance, HR and Business teams on finance-related matters.
  • Assist regional finance projects when required.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and finance initiatives.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of accounting experience handling full set accounts.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, financial services or technology companies is highly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a regional finance environment is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Full set accounting
  • Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
  • SST
  • Corporate taxation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business One, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience using online banking platforms and payment systems.

Soft Skills
