We are a law firm with a Malaysia and Singapore office, focused on high-value, cross-border disputes. We are hiring an Accounts Executive (based in Kuala Lumpur) to support our SG and MY offices. The Accounts & Office Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparing and managing full-set accounts for the firm.
- Handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Managing cash flow, budgets, and monthly/annual financial statements.
- Ensuring tax compliance, including SST and LHDN submissions.
- Liaising with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Preparing ad hoc financial and management reports for partners.
- Managing HR functions, including payroll, staff records, and statutory compliance.
- Overseeing general office operations, resources, and vendor management.
- Coordinating with partners on financial, operational, and strategic matters.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing finance and administrative staff.
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency across finance and office operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 810 years experience in accounting/finance management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven ability to handle full-set accounts independently.
- Experience with SST, LHDN submission, and tax compliance.
- Proven experience liaising with auditors and tax authorities.
- Strong knowledge of MY accounting standards, HR compliance, and corporate governance.
- High level of independence, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
