We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Executive to support daily AP operations, month-end closing activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This role will also be involved in system enhancement and implementation projects while ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payment-related transactions accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure proper approvals and correct GL coding.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and supplier queries.
- Perform bank reconciliations, invoice postings, and other AP-related accounting entries.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and unapplied prepayments to ensure outstanding items are cleared promptly.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of reports and reconciliations.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and ad-hoc finance reporting.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with internal processes and financial requirements.
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing and providing relevant documentation.
- Participate in AP process improvement initiatives and system enhancement projects.
- Support new system implementation activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and first-level support for business users.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance/accounting role.
- Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Flex, or Esker is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in process improvement or system implementation projects will be an advantage.
