Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as an Accounts Payable Manager.

We're seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to lead our APAC region operations, spanning 15+ legal entities including India. This is more than a transactional role - it's a strategic leadership opportunity to shape a high-performing, compliant, and tech-enabled AP function across diverse jurisdictions.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As anAccounts Payable Manager you will:

Regional Leadership & Team Development

. Inspire and lead a regional AP team with a focus on performance, integrity, and growth.

. Set clear goals aligned with global compliance and operational standards.

. Drive talent development, succession planning, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

. Ensure full compliance with internal controls, SOX (or regional equivalents), and corporate policies.

. Partner with BPO teams to strengthen fraud prevention, audit readiness, and segregation of duties.

. Stay ahead of regulatory changes across APAC (e.g., GST/VAT, TDS, e-invoicing).

. Lead audit engagements and ensure month-end close processes are accurate and timely.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

. Build trusted relationships across Finance, Procurement, and business units to enable seamless Source-to-Pay operations.

. Manage outsourced AP providers, ensuring SLA/KPI adherence and swift issue resolution.

. Act as a strategic partner and escalation point for AP matters across the region.

Process Optimization & Technology Enablement

. Champion standardization and automation across AP processes.

. Evaluate and implement digital tools (e.g., OCR, RPA, AI, ERP enhancements) to boost transparency and control.

. Promote best practices in documentation, data governance, and system utilization.

What skills and experiences are we looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5-7+ years of progressive AP experience, including 2+ years in a regional leadership role.

Proven success managing AP across 15+ entities and working with shared service/outsourced models.

Deep knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes, tax/regulatory compliance, and audit frameworks.

Proficiency in SAP and Excel experience with Celonis or ServiceNow is a plus.

Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrixed environment.
