Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle customer accounts in order to maintain effective collection efforts.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage daily Accounts Receivable functions.
• Monitoring customer payments and identifying risk of delayed payments.
• Ensure customer queries are attended to and resolved in a timely manner.
• Proactive identification and resolution of potential difficult debtors account.
• Monitor and follow up on daily collections
• Ensures the invoices and receipts are performed in good manner
• Reconciliation of debtors aging and collections
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation and update cashbook
• Knowledge of indirect tax would be an added advantage
• Ensure month end close duties are prioritized and deadline are delivered on time
• Ensure all account receivable records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system
• Participate in month end closing, including accruals, reconciliation, and journal entries
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

What we're looking for:

• At least 5 years of working experience in the Finance & Accounting is required for this position.
• Strong Understanding in Taxation System.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections.
• Strong reconciliation and month-end closing experience.
• Comfortable interacting with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Good understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Education:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, bachelor's degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
• Possess mature personality, good communication skill, meticulous and able to work with all levels of staff in the organization
• Familiar with accounting software would be preferred
