JOB PURPOSE
Partnership Manager is responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies aligned with the company's advertising business goals, expanding the Wi-Fi network, and optimizing collaboration efficiency. This role also includes managing and developing the team while maintaining AWING's corporate culture.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Developing and Implementing Partnership Strategies
- Formulate short-term and long-term plans for the Partnership Development Department, including Wi-Fi network expansion and new collaboration opportunities aligned with the Advertising Sales Department's objectives.
- Define specific partnership development goals for each phase to ensure alignment with the company's overall business strategy.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track partnership growth, including the number of new partners, revenue, and advertising platform performance.
2. Expanding the Partner Network
- Identify and prioritize Tier 1 merchant targets within the assigned cluster: café chains, mall tenants, convenience store operators, cinemas, fitness chains, and entertainment venues
- Initiate outreach independently — network introductions, direct approach, and leveraging partner or vendor referrals
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring the terms align with business objectives and company interests.
3. Enhancing Operational Efficiency
- Collaborate closely with other departments, especially the System Integration and Advertising Operations teams, to ensure seamless partner integration.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing partnerships and propose improvement measures when necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of partnerships on the advertising platform's performance, implementing optimization strategies as needed.
4. Management Responsibilities
- Manage, train, and develop the Partnership Development team to ensure goal achievement.
- Allocate tasks effectively, build team structure, and establish workflows for efficient operations.
- Track progress, assess performance, and adjust plans when necessary while managing the department's costs and budget.
- Promote and maintain AWING's corporate culture, serving as a role model in embodying and implementing the organization's core values.
5. Other tasks as assigned by the CM
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or related fields.
- 5-8 years in Partnerships or Business Development, with a track record of closing deals in B2B merchant acquisition. Familiarity with the media and advertising space is an advantage.
- Experience pitching and negotiating directly with senior decision-makers - BD Directors, Operations Heads, or C-level contacts at the chain or group level
- Industry Advantage: candidates with experience collaborating with partners, F&B Merchant Acquisition, Retail Store Operations, Entertainment & Lifestyle Venue, FMCG Sectors, B2B & Telcos
Other skills:
- High energy and consistent: sustains outreach activity and meeting volume across a field-execution phase without requiring external motivation
- Commercially aware: understands how a café chain or mall operator thinks about cost, traffic, and partnerships — frames AWING's proposition accordingly
- Leadership Exposure: Experience working with C-level executives and in large business environments.
- Communication: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills, particularly with corporate clients.
- Collaboration & Influence: Proficiency in presentation, consulting, and teamwork, with the ability to inspire & highly confident in influencing the stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose practical and strategic solutions.
