Job Description

Job Purpose

Execute, supervise, and support the tasks related to research infrastructure management, research & statutory audit compliance, stakeholder & alliance management, and research support & business opportunities to ensure researchers are able to have a good research environment & ecosystem, receive the best support on research activities and to deliver high quality research outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

Research Infrastructure Management

Supervise the facilitation of research infrastructure resources and profiling inclusive of research support for asset and space management, project management policies and guidelines, support system to project teams, research centres and institutes, collaboration with other supporting departments to ease the execution of research project management which is essential for conducting high-quality research in a variety of fields, provides the necessary tools and facilities for research community and external research collaborators to carry out their work which attract top talent to an institution or region, and assist to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between researchers to take their research to the next level.

Stakeholder & Alliance Management

Assist and support stakeholder relations by conducting continuous engagement with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen partnership & collaboration to improve understanding on the research governance, quality assurance and collaboration on data readiness for audit purposes in order to establish a good relationship and collaboration.

Research Support & Data Management

Assist to facilitate the research support dan data management efforts as well as improvement initiatives to increase UTP research management and excellence including supporting superiors in managing portfolios and securing research funds with potential research funders and external collaborators through meetings, seminars, workshops, exhibitions in line with business strategic planning conducted by Technology Research Excellence (TREx).

Qualification & Experience:

  • Recognised Diploma/Degree with more than 5 years experience in a corporate office environment
  • Certification or hands-on experience in CRM/Data Management tools
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel – data analysis, PowerPoint – reporting presentations)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
