Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and curious Agronomist Intern to support our team in developing better farming practices and effective solutions for indoor precision farming. The Agronomist Intern will gain hands-on experience in daily farm operations, plant observations, crop monitoring, and problem-solving related to plant health and produce quality.
Working closely with our existing teams, the intern will assist in collecting and analysing farm data, conducting observations, maintaining records, and supporting initiatives aimed at improving crop quality, yield, and farming practices.
Agronomist Intern Responsibilities
- Assist with daily farm operations, including quality control, seeding, nutrient management, crop monitoring, and harvesting.
- Conduct regular farm checks and observations to monitor plant health, growth, and crop quality.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting issues related to plants, crops, and growing conditions.
- Support the team in studying plants and farm variables to improve planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques.
- Assist with testing and monitoring samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, pests, or other changes.
- Support plant selection, planting schedules, and crop planning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of seeds, crops, samples, and farm activities.
- Assist in collecting, analysing, and documenting farm data and findings.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for Management and internal stakeholders.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide feedback or suggestions for improvement.
- Adhere to safe working practices and food safety requirements.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Company.
Agronomist Intern Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Strong interest in agriculture, plant science, or precision farming.
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on farm environment.
- Good observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
