About the Role

We are looking for a mid-level Data Engineer based in Malaysia to support data operations for AI projects. This role will focus on preparing, generating, cleaning, organizing, and evaluating different types of data used in AI model development and improvement.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with data processing workflows, strong attention to detail, and an interest in working with AI-related datasets such as text, speech, image, structured, or multimodal data.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end workflows for data generation, cleaning, evaluation, and quality control
• Optimize data generation strategies using large models such as GPT and Gemini
• Drive the transition from PoC (Proof of Concept) to scalable production systems to support real business needs
• Build and maintain data quality assurance and validation mechanisms
• Implement automated data workflows, including LLM Agents and workflow orchestration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish end-to-end data production and delivery pipelines

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Proficient in Python, with strong capabilities in data processing, data pipeline development, and engineering practices
• Experience with large model APIs (e.g., GPT, Gemini); familiarity with open-source models is a plus
• Understanding of data generation, evaluation, or augmentation use cases
• Experience with LLM Agents or automated workflow systems is preferred
• Strong awareness of data quality and the full lifecycle of data (generation → validation → delivery)
• use Mandarin for day-to-day work communication.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, or other cloud platforms
2. Experience in multilingual, multimodal, or data generation projects
