Job Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, or enhance relevant framework, policies, or procedures to support the governance of AI within the bank
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance on AI solutions and products throughout development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to responsible AI practices and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Advise and support internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and mitigate AI risks arising from the AI use case
  • Drive awareness programmes and training within the bank, including the development of presentation materials for management reporting and internal training on AI governance matters
  • Prepare and coordinate responses for regulatory consultations related to AI governance matters
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including information security, risk, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure robust governance of AI within the bank
  • Research and monitor emerging AI governance trends, best practices and regulatory requirements to support policy development

Role Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g. Law or Artificial Intelligence
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, legal or regulatory compliance matters pertaining to AI governance, technology risk, data protection, intellectual property rights, or related function
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of laws, regulations and regulatory frameworks impacting AI such as the PDPA, MCIPD, GDPR, and EU AI Act.
  • Keen interest in AI ethics and regulations, data protection, and/or technology risk relating to AI.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong work ethics.
  • Able to work well with a variety of stakeholders including data professionals, legal, compliance, risk, and business teams.
  • Basic understanding of AI-related concepts and how they are used in business is preferred.
  • Prior experience in financial services, digital or fintech industry is preferred.
