Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our organisation as an AI Governance Specialist, responsible for strengthening the governance framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Bank.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that AI solutions are developed and deployed in a responsible, ethical, and compliant manner, in line with regulatory expectations and internal risk standards. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to establish robust governance practices, manage AI-related risks, and support the Bank's adoption of AI technologies in a controlled and sustainable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and enhance AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Provide oversight and quality assurance across the AI lifecycle, ensuring adherence to responsible AI practices and regulatory requirements
- Advise stakeholders on identification, assessment, and mitigation of AI-related risks
- Drive awareness programmes and training on AI governance across the organisation
- Prepare materials for management reporting and internal governance forums
- Coordinate and support responses to regulatory consultations and enquiries on AI governance matters
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and Business teams
- Monitor and assess emerging AI regulations, industry trends, and best practices to support continuous improvement
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Artificial Intelligence, Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, legal, regulatory compliance, or technology risk
- Experience in areas such as AI governance, data protection, or intellectual property is an advantage
- Good understanding of regulatory frameworks and data protection laws (e.g., PDPA, GDPR, EU AI Act)
- Prior experience in financial services, digital, or fintech environment is preferred
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and their application in business
