About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, solutions-driven AI Programs Lead, Training and Program Operations to spearhead the implementation, management, and scaling of our AI education programs across Malaysia and the broader Asia Pacific and Japan region. This role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence, program success, and deep engagement with government, educational, and corporate partners in the region.
You will be the primary local point of contact, managing on-the-ground program delivery while also contributing to global training initiatives by leading TTTs for an international audience. You will also be instrumental in business development and piloting new initiatives in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. APJ Program Operations and Implementation (Malaysia Focus)
- Manage end-to-end training and program operations implementation across Malaysia, working directly with schools, colleges, universities, and government organizations.
- Work directly with Malaysian governmental agencies and key partners to discuss curriculum needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with national educational and workforce skilling priorities.
- Consult with Multinational Corporations and their partners on how SL2's core curriculum can be transformed and localized to meet their specific regional and local talent development needs.
- Lead the piloting and execution of new SL2-related programs with key regional partners in APJ to demonstrate impact and scalability.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to position SL2 as a leading partner in AI and emerging tech education for the APJ region.
2. Global and Regional Training and TTT Leadership
- Lead virtual and in-person Global Train-the-Trainer workshops for SL2 partners and staff worldwide.
- Deliver engaging training sessions for teachers, professors, and workforce educators on a standardized AI curriculum, ensuring they are equipped to teach confidently and contextually.
- Oversee the customization and localization of core AI content for various APJ contexts, ensuring sensitivity to local language, culture, and digital fluency levels.
- Ensure trainers understand the content and are equipped to customize it for local contexts and learner needs.
3. Curriculum Collaboration and Strategy
- Collaborate closely with the SL2 team on curriculum development and strategy.
- Serve as the primary liaison to share regional insights for curriculum improvements, training needs, and implementation strategies and plans.
- Help localize material for local institutions, aligning with skills frameworks and employer demand.
- Lead the creation of consulting and sales decks, training decks, and other content.
4. Business Development and Partnerships
- Drive business development opportunities by identifying, researching, and supporting engagement with potential partners, including government agencies, colleges, K12 districts, and employers in APJ.
- Identify and articulate compelling use-case stories for workforce development partnerships.
- Scale educational programs with school districts and through AI Community Engagements.
What We're Looking For
- Language Proficiency: Fluent English is mandatory. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or other regional languages is highly valued.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in education, training, or facilitation, including 1 year focused on technical or digital skills. Experience working across cultures and time zones is valued.
- Tech and Learning Aptitude: Intermediate knowledge of Python and AI or ML concepts. Strong personal interest in AI and ability to explain complex topics to beginners.
- Communication and Facilitation: Exceptional public speaking skills in English and comfort presenting in multicultural environments.
