About The Role
As an AI Solutions Engineer in our brand-new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to join the Central AI Team in a newly created, high-impact role focused on accelerating the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions across the organization.
In this role, you design, build, and scale production-ready AI solutions that solve real business problems. You connect business needs, AI technology, vendor platforms, and data infrastructure to deliver scalable digital products and enterprise-grade AI systems.
You will play a pivotal role in identifying high-value opportunities, building pilots, scaling successful solutions, and enabling AI adoption across regions and functions. The role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture, vendor integration, and project leadership.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
AI Solution Development
- Identify high-value AI use cases with business stakeholders and manage the pilot portfolio
- Assess use-case requests on feasibility, value, reuse potential, and existing solutions
- Design and build AI pilots end-to-end (data, models, integration, deployment)
- Scale successful pilots into secure, production-ready solutions
- Develop in-house AI solutions for customer-facing applications, web platforms, and IoT products
Technology & Vendor Integration
- Act as the link between business, IT, data, and AI technology
- Establish and manage AI vendors and technology partner network
- Evaluate and integrate external AI platforms where relevant
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data platforms, and security standards
Project Leadership & Enablement
- Lead cross-functional AI projects across business, IT, and external partners
- Support and coach regional AI initiatives
- Promote reuse of AI components, platforms, and best practices
Governance, Architecture & Innovation
- Ensure projects follow AI governance, compliance, and risk standards
- Proactively explore new AI technologies and initiate PoCs to validate business value
- Contribute to the AI roadmap and identify new opportunities
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in: 1) Building AI / ML / data / automation solutions in a business environment; 2) Designing and delivering end-to-end AI or digital systems; 3) Working with enterprise platforms, vendors, and integrations; 4) Leading technical or cross-functional projects
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture, data platforms, and system integration
Technical Skills
- Programming (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Machine learning, LLMs, and AI system integration
- Data engineering fundamentals (SQL, ETL, pipelines)
- Cloud, containers, and DevOps (AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker, CI/CD)
- APIs, system architecture, and security / governance
- Experience with vendor AI platforms and enterprise integrations
Personal Skills
- Professional-level English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach
- Able to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Consulting experience in advisory, analysis, and solution delivery
