Job Summary

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing air cargo movements, including scheduled and charter operations. The role ensures efficient capacity utilization, operational readiness, and on-time execution to meet customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage air freight shipments to ensure optimal routing, capacity utilization, and service performance.

• Source and analyze freight rates from airlines, vendors, overseas offices, and agent partners to support pricing and business opportunities.

• Prepare transportation costings and quotations for the Sales team based on customer requirements and operational feasibility.

• Monitor airline capacity, flight schedules, transit times, and market conditions to support effective shipment planning.

• Coordinate cargo space allocations and booking arrangements with airlines and strategic partners.

• Develop shipment plans and contingency solutions to minimize delays, service disruptions, and operational bottlenecks.

• Lead charter flight planning activities, including capacity assessment, aircraft selection, routing analysis, scheduling, and operational coordination.

• Evaluate charter opportunities and prepare operational plans, cost estimates, and resource requirements to support customer and business needs.

• Coordinate closely with Operations, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Ground Handling teams to ensure seamless shipment execution.

• Track shipment performance and proactively resolve issues related to capacity, flight changes, scheduling, and cargo movement.

• Maintain regular communication with airlines, charter operators, overseas partners, and service providers to secure capacity and enhance service levels.

• Analyze shipment volumes, load factors, and operational trends to improve efficiency and profitability.

• Maintain accurate shipment planning data and update operational systems to ensure data integrity and visibility.

• Prepare operational reports, capacity forecasts, performance analysis, and charter utilization reports for management review.

• Support peak season planning, project cargo movements, emergency shipments, and special charter operations.

• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Experience & Qualifications

• Knowledge of air freight operations, cargo handling, and shipment planning processes.
• Experience in charter flight planning and coordination is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for planning and reporting.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
