We are looking for a payment policy manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of this inclusive and innovative ecosystem, among wallets, acquirers, local and global payment systems, and other new payment industry players. Job description
You will closely liaise with business, legal, compliance, product, risk, dispute and other functions to translate business innovations into robust, scalable, and risk-mitigated policy frameworks. This requires research of industry best practices (e.g., other global and local payment schemes) and international regulations, and acute analysis of business models, risks, costs, rights and responsibilities.
Specifically:
1. Rulebook Governance: Maintain the constitution of Alipay+ partnerships—including onboarding due diligence, clearing, settlement, fraud and dispute handling.
2. Internal Training: Design and organize rules consultation and training to internal stakeholders, ensuring a unified understanding of our governance logic and toolkit.
3. Strategic Advisory: Assess business request and collaborate with functions to ensure policies are well-rounded to support business growth.
4. New Policy Design: Lead the research, design, and publication of new business policies, transforming business strategies into executable rules.
Requirement
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related fields.
● Minimum 5 years experience in the payment industry, covering mobile/digital payments, fraud, risk consulting, or acquiring business.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to ask the right questions, find answers quickly, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve common goals.
● Critical and systematic thinking.
● High attention to details with a sharp understanding of the implications of policy language.
● Languages: English as working language; Chinese basic conversation/reading/writing skills preferred.
