Job Description

  • AMD Bareboard Memory, PCIe & GPU Validation Engineer(Mandarin)
  • AMD Bareboard Debug, Power, Memory, PCIe & GPU Validation Engineer(Mandarin)
  • Location: GBS by the sea, Penang, Malaysia (On-site at AMD)
  • Fluent in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
  • On-site at AMD Penang
  • I. Debug Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the full-process debugging of laptop bareboards, locate, analyze and solve hardware faults, signal abnormalities and other issues during the R&D and testing phases, and issue reports and solutions.
  • Cooperate with the R&D team to complete bareboard design verification, participate in the formulation of test cases, track fault closure, and use professional test instruments to investigate the root causes of faults.
  • Accumulate debugging cases, optimize testing and debugging processes, and cooperate with cross-departmental collaborative testing.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Information, Microelectronics or related majors, with 3+ years of relevant experience in debugging AMD laptop bareboards.
  • Proficient in hardware architecture, familiar with power supply and signal link principles, and possess solid fault analysis capabilities.
  • Skilled in using test instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, master signal and power integrity knowledge, and be able to independently complete complex fault location.
  • Basic understanding of x86, strong communication, collaboration and pressure resistance capabilities; candidates with experience in the platform will be given priority.
  • II. Power Management Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the testing, verification and optimization of the power management module of bareboards to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the power system.
  • Formulate power supply test plans and cases, conduct performance, stability and low-power tests, analyze data and promote the optimization of existing issues.
  • Investigate power-related faults, cooperate with the R&D team to optimize designs, track new industry technologies and improve test processes.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics or related majors, with 3+years of experience in testing bareboard power management systems.
  • Proficient in AMD power management architecture, familiar with PMIC and power supply circuits, and master test methods such as power timing and ripple testing.
  • Skilled in using instruments such as oscilloscopes and electronic loads, and be able to independently complete power supply testing and fault investigation.
  • Understanding of laptop power consumption control and strong data analysis capabilities; candidates with experience in bareboard power optimization will be given priority.
  • III. Power Performance Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the testing and optimization of the power consumption and performance balance of laptop bareboards, balancing product performance and battery life.
  • Formulate test plans, conduct CPU and GPU power consumption and performance tests, analyze data, identify bottlenecks and promote optimization.
  • Cooperate with multiple teams to optimize hardware designs and power strategies, establish test standards and support product iteration.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Hardware, Electronic Information or related majors, with 3+ years of experience in testing bareboard power consumption and performance.
  • Proficient in CPU and GPU architecture, and master the use of performance and power consumption test tools.
  • Possess solid data analysis capabilities, be able to locate bottlenecks and put forward optimization suggestions, and have strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Understanding of the impact of laptop heat dissipation; candidates with experience in bareboard performance tuning will be given priority.
  • IV. Memory Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the testing, verification and optimization of DDR4/DDR5 memory modules of AMD laptop bareboards to ensure the stable operation of memory.
  • Formulate memory test plans and cases, conduct timing, signal integrity and compatibility tests, and promote the rectification of existing problems.
  • Investigate memory-related faults, cooperate with the R&D team to optimize layouts and signal links, and improve test processes.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Information, Microelectronics or related majors, with 3+ years of experience in testing AMD bareboard memory.
  • Proficient in DDR4/DDR5 architecture and timing principles, familiar with AMD memory controllers, and master relevant test methods.
  • Skilled in using test instruments, able to independently complete memory testing and fault investigation, and understand BIOS memory configuration.
  • Careful and rigorous; candidates with experience in AMD platform DDR5 testing will be given priority.
  • V. PCIE Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the testing, verification and optimization of PCIE 3.0/4.0/5.0 interfaces of AMD laptop bareboards to ensure the normal communication of interfaces.
  • Formulate PCIE test plans and cases, conduct link, speed and compatibility tests, analyze data and promote rectification.
  • Investigate PCIE-related faults, cooperate with the R&D team to optimize interface designs, track new technologies and improve test standards.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Information, Microelectronics or related majors, with 3+ years of experience in testing AMD bareboard PCIE interfaces.
  • Proficient in PCIE protocol specifications, familiar with AMD PCIE controllers, and master signal integrity and compatibility test methods.
  • Skilled in using test instruments and PCIE test tools, and be able to independently complete testing and fault investigation.
  • Strong sense of responsibility; candidates with experience in AMD platform PCIE 4.0/5.0 testing will be given priority.
  • VI. GPU Testing Engineer
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the testing, verification and optimization of the integrated GPU (Radeon) on AMD laptop bareboards to ensure that GPU performance, stability and compatibility meet standards.
  • Formulate GPU test plans and cases, conduct graphics performance, rendering effect and stability tests, analyze data and promote the rectification of existing problems.
  • Investigate GPU-related faults (such as display abnormalities, performance bottlenecks, etc.), cooperate with the R&D team to optimize hardware designs, and improve test processes and standards.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Information, Computer Hardware or related majors, with 3+ years of relevant experience in testing AMD platform GPUs.
  • Proficient in AMD Radeon GPU architecture, familiar with GPU test tools (such as 3DMark, Fraps) and test methods.
  • Skilled in using test instruments, able to independently complete GPU performance and stability testing as well as fault investigation, an d possess solid data analysis capabilities.
  • Understanding of graphics rendering principles, strong communication and collaboration capabilities; candidates with experience in testing bareboard GPUs will be given priority.
