Material Planning (Buyer)

  • Responsible for raw material replenishment. Maintain supply visibility of minimum 3 months.
  • Secure delivery confirmation from suppliers for all PO.
  • Expedite material deliveries to support production & customer orders.
  • Bottleneck & allocation management for materials in critical shortage.
  • Ensure integrity of master data & parameters in SAP & add.ONE system to enable automatic MRP planning. Drive Purchasing to maintain Purchasing/Vendor master data that is relevant to MRP run.
  • Manage material auto replenishment within warehouses via mini macro & min-max setting.
  • Track & monitor supplier delivery performance (SSL3) & define improvement measures.
  • Track, monitor & manage material phase-in/out resulting from Engineering changes, product/material EOL, etc. Adjust material planning according to product & material life cycle.
  • Manage special procurement activities, eg. Last Time Buy (LTB), purchase below MOQ, risk purchase in the event of vendor change, supplier relocation, mold down for modification.
  • Regularly review supplier capacity to identify restriction. Escalate to Purchasing & discuss measures to solve capacity constraints.
  • Manage & track safety stock to support business fluctuations.
  • Raw materials inventory management & control according to TCT target. Reschedule SA/PO to suppliers based on forecast changes & inventory target.
  • Manage excess & obsolete (E&O) stock. Analyze stock coverage, define & take actions for stock optimization.
  • Coordinate RTV process for supplier logistics quality issues (wrong part / wrong quantity).
  • Liaise with PUQ & PQE on RTV & replacement due to technical issues.

Production Planning

  • Rough Production Planning (RPP) for mid to long term up to 24 months.
  • Level production loading according to BPS maturity requirement.
  • Convert, release & schedule production orders according to levelling pattern.
  • Ensure data integrity of production/planned order & RPP to drive correct MRP run.
  • Regular alignment of production capacity with manufacturing team.
  • Monitor and follow up production output, sub assembly progress & customer order fulfillment.
  • Drive production to achieve target output & produce the right mix of SKUs and sub assembly. Define measures to reduce production backlog.

LPVResponsibilities

  • Logistics team member (LPV) for NPI - new launches & ALRs.
  • Support samples & pilot runs.
  • Attend & contribute actively in project meetings, work with cross functional team to achieve timely SOP.
  • Attend & contribute actively in product launch meeting (PLT) & update production/delivery status.
  • Drive project team to order materials according to lead time. Contribute in the execution of risk orders.
  • Together with project buyer (BPV), drive material readiness to achieve ramp up plan.
  • Analyze & communicate feasibility & restrictions to achieve ramp up plan.
  • Maintain MM & release pronovia timely & accurately to enable automatic MRP planning.
  • Coordinate new material packaging lot size for kanban card preparation before SOP.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business studies, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the field of material planning, production planning or procurement (buyer).
  • Experience in order management / demand planning is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skill, able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Able to communicate both written & verbal to suppliers in oversea (China).
