Job Description
- Manage the accounts payable and GL process, including invoice verification and payment processing and also when needed, AR.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Maintain and update vendor records for accuracy and compliance.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable function.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful AP Specialist Should Have
- At least 8 years of experience in AP and GL, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial systems.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
