Job Description

This role sits within FNZ's Investment Operations division and is responsible for the management and ongoing maintenance of the Pricing Control function across FNZ's APAC platforms.

FNZ acts as an asset custodian, holding and administering client assets on behalf of clients, and this role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate pricing and setup of Managed Funds, ETFs, Equities, and Fixed Income instruments across New Zealand, Australian, and international markets.

Reporting to the APAC Product & Pricing Manager, your responsibilities include daily pricing control checks, exception reporting, and the accurate setup and maintenance of trading instruments across multiple platforms in a complex, multi‑tenanted environment.

This is a role that requires depth of understanding and a high level of attention to detail with an expected ramp‑up period of 12–18 months to fully grasp platform capabilities, end to end operational flows, and back office processes. The initial focus will be largely BAU, with opportunities to support project work once established in the role. The team operates across Malaysia and New Zealand. As we service clients throughout the APAC region which encompasses New Zealand, Australia and Asia, we are required to support clients in each of these regions including working hours on a rostered basis where applicable.

The Responsibilities Will Include

  • Ensure the accurate and timely pricing of managed funds, ETFs, equities, and fixed income instruments across FNZ platforms within required SLA timeframes.
  • Set up new trading instruments correctly for reporting, trading, and valuation purposes, and maintain these throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform ongoing instrument maintenance, including daily pricing control checks, exception reporting, and instrument controls.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate any untimely or inconsistent pricing issues to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with market data providers, custodians, brokers, and other third party vendors to support operational efficiency and service standards.
  • Maintain clear records, logs, and documentation to ensure transparency of pricing and instrument maintenance processes for regulatory and audit purposes.
  • Prioritise and manage workload to ensure all tasks are completed within agreed operational deadlines and client contractual requirements.
  • Support broader operational teams by contributing to service delivery and the achievement of KPIs.
  • Update and maintain procedures, checklists, and control documentation as required.
  • Contribute to project and change initiatives, including new business rollouts, system enhancements, user acceptance testing, and continuous process improvement activities.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience within financial operations or a comparable financial services environment preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience using Outlook and exposure to SQL advantageous
  • Proven ability to execute, deliver, and take ownership of outcomes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to investigate and resolve financial markets and IT system‑related issues
  • Self‑motivated and enthusiastic, able to work autonomously while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering project work

What is in it for you

  • Be part of a highly successful, rapidly growing global business that is leading the delivery of financial services and partners with some of the world's largest companies.
  • Remuneration and career advancement is based on individual contribution and business impact rather than tenure or seniority.
  • We provide significant financial rewards for high performing individuals.
  • Join our growing Kuala Lumpur based team, offering autonomy, pace, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic operational environment

If this role appeals to you, please apply with your cover letter and CV by 13 April 2026.

  • Please note we shortlist as we receive applications. We encourage early applications as we may withdraw advertising at any time.
