Job Description

The APAC Regional Head of Finance is the senior finance leader for the Asia Pacific region, acting as a key strategic and commercial partner to the Regional Managing Director, APAC Leadership Team and Global Operations Finance Director. The role has full accountability for regional financial performance, value creation, capital allocation and financial governance across a multi-country manufacturing footprint.

The role leads finance beyond traditional FP&A and control, focusing on forward-looking insight, decision support and execution of strategic priorities for a c.£50m business operating across multiple APAC countries.

Job Description:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering

• Lead finance business partnering for the APAC Leadership Team, influencing strategic and operational decisions.

• Translate group strategy into clear regional financial priorities and actions.

• Provide insight on growth, margin, capital deployment, pricing and risk.

• Challenge assumptions and ensure decisions are supported by robust financial analysis.

• Support M&A, footprint optimisation and investment decisions where applicable.

Performance Management & Value Creation

• Own regional financial performance across revenue, margin, cost and cash.

• Lead margin improvement and profit enhancement initiatives with clear ownership and delivery tracking.

• Drive accountability through KPIs, targets and action plans.

• Ensure finance insight leads to operational action, not just reporting.

Planning, Forecasting & Capital Allocation

• Lead the annual budget, strategic planning and rolling forecast processes.

• Ensure plans are robust, aligned to strategy and stress-tested.

• Own regional capex governance, investment appraisal and post-investment benefit tracking.

• Provide scenario modelling to support decision making.

Financial Governance & Controls

• Ensure strong financial control, governance and compliance across all APAC sites.

• Oversee month-end performance reviews with focus on drivers, root causes and actions.

• Ensure consistency and quality of financial information across the region.

• Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, develop and inspire the APAC finance team.

• Build a high-performing finance organisation with strong business partnering capability.

Set expectations on ownership, accountability and insight-led thinking.

• Develop succession plans and future finance leaders.

Job Requirement:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with good academics
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership role
  • Prior experience in a publicly listed company is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • High integrity, professionalism, and business acumen
