About the role

As the APAC HR SSC Operations Lead, you will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of HR services across the APAC region, ensuring excellence in execution, compliance, and a superior employee experience. This critical leadership role drives operational efficiency, manages risk, and champions continuous improvement within the HR SSC, spanning the full employee lifecycle from contract generation to offboarding.

What you'll do
  • Lead the daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all employee lifecycle processes.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high performance and data integrity across service delivery.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with People Business Partners, CoEs, business leaders, and external vendors across the region.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and primary escalation point for complex service delivery issues, communicating effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and internal controls, leading audits and risk assessments.
  • Partner with the APAC People Services Leadership Team to support HR transformation programs, ensuring operational readiness and smooth adoption within the SSC.
  • Manage the HR SSC budget, monitor expenditures, forecast resource needs, and optimize resource allocation and vendor performance.

What you'll need
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a shared services (SSC) or service delivery environment.
  • Proven experience working in a complex, matrixed multinational organization, specifically across multiple APAC geographies.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliance, transformation best practices, and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and case management tools like ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage budgets, and successfully drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of building rapport and advising strategically.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to leverage data to track performance, identify opportunities, and contribute value.
  • Proficiency in English and in Mandarin to support APAC and Greater China region
