API Integration Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation services and API support to clients, partners, vendors and developer community in Greater China, Southeast Asia and emerging markets; help clients to integrate their business with eBay through public API that takes their business efficiency to the next level

• Organize seminars, webinars and workshops, and promote the use of public API and third party API products to sellers of different sizes and needs

• Create knowledge transfer and training materials; develop proof of concept prototypes, demonstrations and code samples for consultation and support needs

• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with API and backend systems, and work with different teams to resolve issues to minimize disruptions to users

• Manage and audit the quality and performance of our partnering vendors; maintain a healthy ecosystem of in-house developed API solutions, third party products from API vendors and eBay developed seller tools

• Establish good communication with clients, partners and vendors to ensure new functionalities, updates and best practice guidelines are delivered to them

• Understand clients difficulties and wants, and come up with enhancement suggestions or new product ideas for API products and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent

• 5 years of relevant work experience, including experience working with partners and developer community

• Experience in design and deployment of systems for business of different sizes; familiar with different system architectures

• Programming experience in Java, .NET, Python, Javascript as well as RESTful API and XML. Knowledge or experience in GraphQL is a plus

• Excellent public speaking and communication skills to both business and technical audience.

• Great problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical problems

• Ability to manage your time well and prioritize requests to complete your tasks in a timely manner

• Ability to travel occasionally
