1.Customer application support
- Support Sales on analyze customer measurement and inspection tasks and propose suitable ZEISS IQS solutions
- Create and validate measurement strategies, programs, and evaluation routines based on standards and customer requirements.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to resolve application-related issues.
2.Demonstrations and proof of concept
- Support pre-sales activities via planning and executing product demonstrations, benchmarks, and sample measurements for customers
- Prepare technical reports, demonstrations concepts, and result presentations in cooperation with Sales
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications and application concepts.
3.Training and knowledge transfer
- Conduct user training (basic to advanced) on ZEISS metrology and quality software, including best-practice measurement strategies and data evaluation
- Develop training materials, application notes, and guidelines for both customers and internal teams.
4.Feedback and continuous improvement
- Collect and consolidate customer feedback on products, software and workflows and feed it back to Team Lead, Service and Sales manager
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of best proactive workflows, templates and libraries.
5.Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Aftermarket and SEA Application Team to align customer needs with ZEISS solutions.
- Provide technical input for offers and solution concepts.
- Represent ZEISS IQS at customer events, trade fairs, and technical conferences where appropriate.
Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawing.
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and relevant standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Understanding statistics and statistics process control is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with CAD data and 3D models (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with basic measuring hand-tools (e.g., caliper, micrometer, and/or dial indicator.)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing technologies (e.g., machining, forming, additive manufacturing) and their typical quality challenges.
- Basic Microsoft SQL Server knowledge for data querying and reporting is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
- High customer orientation and ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to different audiences.
- Confident presentation and training skills, both on-site and online.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, depending on customer and project needs.
- Good command of written and spoken English, additional others local languages are a plus.
