Get to Know the Role
We are seeking a Application Engineering Manager who will be responsible for ensuring stable product quality and preventing quality excursions through close collaboration with key stakeholders, including Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Production teams.
The Manager will play a critical role in facilitating cross-functional communication to understand technical issues raised by customers, and in driving timely, structured actions to resolve them through logical problem-solving.
Essential Responsibilities:
Initiate continuous quality improvement activities based on big data in production
Design preventive actions to avoid recurrence of quality issues
Establish practical KPIs and monitoring methods to keep good quality without excursion
Set up appropriate monitoring plans and manage metrology tool performance to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and uptime
Lead troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with equipment/maintenance teams to resolve tool-related issues
Responsible for coaching and developing your team members, ensuring smooth daily operations, and fostering a collaborative environment that supports their continuous growth and performance improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering-related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience in a people management role
Minimum 6 years of experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
Technical Skills:
Problem-solving skill, such as root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA and so on
Metrology management, SPC, MSA, GR&R
Familiarity with quality-certified environments (e.g., ISO9001, 5S, 8D, Lean Six Sigma methodologies).
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and spoken English for frequent communication with stakeholders in Singapore and Japan
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
Travel Requirement:
Occasional regional travel (1-2 times per quarter for training or cross-site collaboration)
