Job Description: Application Support Consultant (Experienced Hire)
Location: Petaling Jaya
Type: Full-time

Role Overview
Triaset provides mission-critical treasury and investment management solutions to Malaysia's leading financial institutions and statutory bodies. We are seeking an experienced Application Support Consultant to join our Client Support team.
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, bridging the gap between complex financial operations and technical engineering. You will be responsible for high-level incident resolution, system analysis, and ensuring the operational stability of our clients treasury environments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Advanced Technical Troubleshooting & Incident Management
  • Lead the investigation of complex reported issues, utilizing SQL and log analysis to distinguish between software defects, data discrepancies, and user errors.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of high-severity incidents, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and timely communication with client stakeholders.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and propose permanent technical or procedural solutions to the Engineering team.
2. Functional Analysis & Client Advisory
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for client Treasury desks (Traders, Settlement Officers, Risk Managers, IT managers).
  • Translate complex business requirements and financial calculations (e.g., Yield curves, FX pricing, Settlement workflows) into precise technical specifications for the Software Development team.
  • Advise clients on system best practices to optimize their daily operational workflows and reporting.
3. Quality Assurance & Knowledge Management
  • Validate fixes and patches released by the Engineering team to ensure they meet client requirements before deployment.
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base (Knowledge Vault) by documenting technical workarounds, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration guides.
  • Mentor junior support staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and analytical rigor.

Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Experience
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in Application Support, Technical Business Analysis, or Implementation within the Banking, Fintech, or Capital Markets sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships in a B2B software environment.

Technical Competencies
  • Database Proficiency: Strong command of SQL is mandatory. You must be proficient in writing queries to extract data, validate integrity, and troubleshoot calculation errors.
  • System Knowledge: Experience with issue tracking platforms (Jira/Service Desk) and an understanding of modern software architecture (API integration, Batch processing).
  • Domain Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of Treasury and Investment products (Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income/Bonds) and the lifecycle of a trade (Front, Middle, and Back Office).
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, risk management, or accounting standards is highly advantageous.
