Role Overview:

• Position: Application Support Engineer / Technical Systems Specialist
• Core Technical Stack: SQL, Unix Shell Scripting
• Domain Focus: Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Know Your Customer (KYC) Systems
• Target Software Platforms (Plus): NetReveal (Detica), Actimize, Ficosoft Continuity, or Tookitaki
• Language Plus: Basic Java understanding
• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

️ Your Core Mission:

• Production Application Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the operational uptime of mission-critical financial crime compliance systems, handling system alerts and patch deployments.
• Data Investigation & Extraction: Write complex SQL scripts to query transaction records, audit system failures, inspect data schemas, and isolate functional processing bugs.
• Unix Scripting & Automation: Author and optimize Unix Shell Scripts to handle routine batch runs, automate server log cleanups, parse flat data files, and trigger backend alert monitors.
• Ecosystem Optimization: Partner with developers and compliance analysts to configure, test, and optimize rule engines within industry-standard fraud-prevention tools.
• Incident Management: Dig through Java logs and system errors to identify system bottlenecks, ensuring swift remediation in line with corporate SLAs.

What You Bring to the Table:

• The Scripting Foundation: Strong hands-on engineering capabilities inside a command-line environment utilizing Unix commands, file management, and automated cron jobs.
• Database Fluency: Mastery of standard SQL joins, data aggregation, and structural query optimization.
• Domain Acumen (Big Advantage): Prior background navigating AML/KYC logic, transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, or sanction screening regulations.
• Software Familiarity (Optional but highly prized): Experience working directly on platforms like Detica NetReveal, Nice Actimize, Ficosoft, or Tookitaki.
