Job Description

(Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated architectural professionals to join our Project Planning & Development team. The successful candidate will be involved in project planning, design management, authority submissions, feasibility studies, stakeholder coordination, and development management of residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, or data centre projects.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Development

  • Assist in or lead project planning activities from conceptual design through project approval stages.
  • Coordinate project development activities to ensure alignment with business objectives, budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, milestones, and development programmes.
  • Support land acquisition, feasibility studies, and project viability assessments.

Design Management

  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders during design development.
  • Review conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure designs meet functional, commercial, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for design optimization, value engineering, and cost efficiency.

Authority Submission & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage submissions and approvals with local authorities and statutory bodies.
  • Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to obtain development approvals and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with planning guidelines, building by-laws, and relevant regulations.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, utility providers, and internal departments.
  • Facilitate project meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for management and project stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for project-related matters.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Work closely with cost consultants and project teams to monitor development costs.
  • Assist in budgeting exercises and project cost evaluations.
  • Propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality and project objectives.

Quality, Risk & Sustainability

  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and company requirements.
  • Promote sustainable design practices and innovative development solutions.
  • Participate in post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Team Management (Manager and Above)

  • Lead and mentor project planning and development team members.
  • Manage project resources and team performance.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve project objectives.
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the department

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Architecture, Architecture Studies, or related disciplines.
  • Professional Architect registration will be an added advantage.


Experience

Executive

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in architecture, planning, or property development.

Senior Executive / Assistant Manager

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience with exposure to authority submissions and project coordination.

Manager

  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in project planning, design management, or property development.
  • Experience leading consultants and managing development projects independently.

Senior Manager

  • 10+ years of experience with proven leadership in large-scale development projects.
  • Strong track record in managing project planning teams and stakeholder engagement.

Technical Competencies

  • Familiarity with authority submission processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of development planning, project management, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, or equivalent design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, planning regulations, and development procedures.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
